Vertical stainless steel support rods are wrapped with v-wire ( wedge tapered ) stainless steel welded wire that produces a continuous slot opening around the entire surface area of the screen. These screens and drive points are made entirely of Type 304 stainless steel (non-stainless, steel drive point head) to produce an extremely corrosion resistant product. The Screens are threaded with standard iron pipe thread MIPT x MIPT. Using both 3' screens and 5' screens along with our 2" stainless steel pipe couplings, you can come up with an almost unlimited choice of screen setting lengths. In addition, our threaded flush joint change-over will allow you to transition into ASTM F-480 threaded flush joint PVC plastic solid riser pipe for monitoring applications. The v-wire or wedge wire tapered opening becomes progressively wider toward the interior of the well screen. This produces a non plugging opening ( unlike mesh construction ) that has only two contact points to retain sand particles, thus increasing efficiency and lowering entrance velocity
